Beginnings and Ends Part 1

Hi, how's everyone? Excited for the finals? Hope so :) Missing you Dalankar:(

Story of Brett Finch and Cooper Cronk. Purely fiction.

2010

Cooper swam to the other end of the small pool and leaned against the railing. He watched the blue sky outside as it slowly changed to colors of orange and pink.

It was a matter of time before he would be found in the pool naked, in a room that did not belong to him. He knew it was about time he let go of the past. And he felt thousand times better in doing so. He was going to enjoy it this time, however short it might be. He was going to make sure he didn't deceive his feelings.

He heard the door open and close with a thud. He stilled in the spot, resting his against the wall hiding from the intruder. If he was to look up he would see his clothes scattered on the deck, which lead to the pool. If Cooper was to bob up he would be seen. It wasn't that he was hiding. He wanted to be found. It was why he was here in the first place.

The steps got louder. He was coming up.

Cooper turned his head and waited. Waited to be found. A blonde stood glancing at him, eyes unreadable. He looked dashing in his silver suit. Cooper was speechless for the second time in his life.

Cooper released his breath when Brett finally spoke.

“You look like you need company”
“Just you” Cooper said, watching, waiting.

Brett smiled. He removed his clothes one by one all the while keeping his eyes on Cooper. In his boxers he stepped into the water. Brett stood before Cooper waiting, watching. Cooper moved forward towards Brett.

“They were looking for you downstairs” Brett spoke, amazed at how beautiful Cooper looked.
“I want to be here” Cooper swam around Brett. “With you”

Brett turned with him. Those words meant a hell of a lot to him.
Brett smiled at the man who sent tingles down his back. Cooper returned his smile moving closer.
Fingers grasping fingers, skin on skin their first kiss was everything and more.
Cooper threw his arms around Brett as he released Brett’s lips.
Brett ran his fingers along Coopers back.

“Relax” Brett whispered in Coopers ear.

Cooper closed his eyes and rested his head on Brett's shoulder.
The water was above both their heads and they could only hear the thudding of water against their ears.

Cooper opened his eyes and leaned back. Brett was there holding on to him smiling. Cooper touched Brett's face with his left hand and Brett’s chest with his right. Running out of air, Brett took the hand that touched his face and pulled Cooper closer to him. Brett was about to resurge when Coopers lips closed on his. Brett forgot about everything. Cooper made him forget. Cooper made him smile. Cooper made him want to fight for his future. But right now, Cooper made him fall in love. When the air ran out both resurfaced, both gasping for the air they desperately needed. Brett cornered Cooper against the wall. Cooper wrapped his legs around Brett and leaned his head against the wall.

“I’m sorry” Cooper whispered wrapping his fingers around Brett's neck.
“What for?” Brett asked surprised by Cooper's words.
Cooper smiled. “For not doing this sooner”

Brett pressed his body against Coopers, kissing Coopers neck.

“Brett?” Cooper mouthed tightening his hold around Brett's back. “This feels so good”

Brett smiled covering Cooper with kisses. When he stopped he looked into Cooper's eyes.

“I never thought you'd want me this way” Brett whispered.
Cooper waited a second before taking to Brett's lips. I do. I do Brett. “I want you”

The sun disappeared around the high rise building unnoticed. Cooper looked down and found Brett's head resting on his chest. He was asleep. He had fallen asleep. His body rising and falling with his own. The soft golden colour of Brett's hair was returning. Cooper brushed his fingers through the soft strands. He remembered the first time he had kissed him. Grand final day. It wasn't a kiss on the lips but he had kissed him. He kissed him jokingly, but willingly. Now he kissed him eagerly, passionately, like it was his last. There was no way he wouldn't fight for Brett's. He would fight. There's got to be a way. He would find a way. Cooper stroked the back of Brett's neck feeling the smooth skin. Brett’s fingers brushed across Coopers left arm and rested on his shoulder. Cooper smiled.

He felt the aftermath of the game taking its toll on his body. Sleep. He breathed in one with Brett. Cooper smiled, letting sleep take over him hoping to meet Brett in his dreams.
