Which Way Inclined?

I miss these two an awful amount! I know they're a strange ship but I love them.

Greg sighed as Israel pointedly turned his back.

"What's with the long face, GI?" Cam asked, sitting down beside him.

"He hates me!" Greg said, eyes fixed on Israel's back.

Cam followed Greg's eyes to the object of his despair.

"Nah man, Izzy's just really busy...um...doing nothing apparently"

Greg sighed again.

"Buck up, Greggo! Why do you think he hates you?"

Greg shifted, scratching the back of his head with a small grin.

"I...er...might have...um...kissed him maybe"

Cam froze, eyes wide.

"You kissed him?"

Greg sighed.

"Yeah. He punched me in the ribs"

Cam laughed.

Greg glared.

"Sorry! Sorry, GI" Cam tried to control his laughter, "Um… you kissed him on a dare or something? Or are you...you know, in love with him?"

Greg mumbled something inaudible.

"Sorry, what?"

"I love him" Greg whispered, eyes longingly on Israel.

--

"You can't just kiss me out of the blue like that!" Israel yelled, "what am I supposed to think? You have to…"

"I have to what?" Greg asked, tentatively, edging closer now that Israel seemed less inclined to explode.

"You have to tell me why…" Israel looked up with brown eyes fixed on Greg's face, "why did you kiss me?"

Greg shifted, toe poking at the green grass under his feet.

"I'm in love with you" he said in a small voice. When he looked up, Israel's eyes are wide.

"Iz…"

"You should have told me that before you kissed me, you idiot!" Israel said before pulling him in with a long hand and crushing their lips together.

Birthday Drabbles

It is a glorious day of the birth of the founder of this magical place! Happy birthday to the lovely Yellowleaf :) There is so much love in my heart that I can totally put in to words...because that's what I do! Here's birthday pressie fic.

Birthday drabbles

He would never have gone to the Dragons. Never. He doesn't think they understand even now why he'd turned them down. They don't understand about Glenn. They don't understand about how Brett cannot exist without Glenn. How Glenn is the best of them both. It doesn't matter. It was their loss anyway.

---

"I missed you"

Joel grins when Max raises an eyebrow.

"Did you now?"

Joel dances away from Max's reaching hands.

"Hmm...not so sure now" he says letting Max trap him against the couch.

Max kisses him, hands on his face and Joel sighs in to it. He'd missed this more than breathing. They'd always be like this, if they could.

---

Cooper wakes up. The room smells like...bacon?

What?

He turns over and frowns at the empty spot next to him on the bed. He could have sworn he hadn't gone to bed alone. He absently scratches at the bruise on his neck. No. he definitely didn't go to bed alone. Then he hears singing coming from the kitchen.

"I'm not sayin' I'm soooorrryyyyy"

Cooper smiles. Oh.

Brett is shirtless. And cooking breakfast. In Cooper's kitchen. Brett is wearing a pair of pink boxer shorts (where did he get those?) and poking at something on the stove that is smoking a lot. Cooper would be worried about that if he isn't incredibly distracted by the first fact.

"Are you trying burn down my house?" is lamentably the first thing that comes out of his mouth.

Brett grins at him.

"What are you doing out of bed?" Brett asks waving a spoon in his general direction.

"Making sure you don't burn down my house?" Cooper is not sure whether he should have phrased that as a question.

In answer, Brett turns off the stove and divides the bacon in to two plates that are already half filled with scrambled egg and -

"Is that meringue?"

"No Australian breakfast is complete without it!" is the haughty answer he gets.

Brett takes the two plates to the dining table. There are two cups of steaming coffee already there.

Cooper stares. It's not everyday he wakes up to find a hot guy in his kitchen cooking him breakfast. It should be everyday. But Cooper is not complaining. He'll take what he can get.

He blinks back in to reality when he feels Brett's knuckles rapping against his head.

"Earth to Coop"

"Hi" Cooper can't help it. He loves this boy.

Brett smiles, not with his lips but with his eyes like he does when something truly makes him happy. And it is perfect. Finally his life is how he wants it.

Cooper kisses him, tangles his fingers in the golden hair and just kisses him.

He wouldn't change a single thing.

Have a gorgeous day :D

No Sudden Movements

Sorry for being so inactive. Not being lazy, I promise! Been working on a Quade/ James AU. Shall share soon. But here's a consolation fic. Also Quade/ James. These two are eating my brain!

No sudden movements

"I saw you with him"

James tries to shift but finds himself utterly trapped against the wall.

"With who?" he asks, trying to make light of the situation because things have gotten far too serious far too quickly.

"QUADE"

James flinches from the venom in that one word.

"Come on, man…" James' wrists are being crushed in a strong grip.

"You're mine"

James tries to turn his head but he can't escape the kiss and yes, he's done this before but that had been fun. They'd just been fooling around.

Hadn’t they?

He doesn't know when things had gotten so serious.

"Stop it! Stop!" he finally manages to gasp and hears mocking laughter in response.

"You weren't complaining before"

James feels a hand grasping at his belt and the panic really hits home.

"Oh god! Come on, man! Don't do this. Please-" the rest of his words are lost when the door opens and Quade walks in.

"Hey, James-" Quade freezes when he sees them.

James recognises the moment when anger replaces the shock in Quade's eyes.

"Let him go" Quade commands.

"Or what?"

James struggles, trying to get free, trying to stop this before it started.

"Or I'll fucking kill you" Quade says and moves. Moves so fast that James barely has any time to steel himself. And then Quade is on the floor, punching and grappling and snarling. Before James can do anything Kurtly comes in through the open door.

"Guys, what's all the noise?" he says and only hesitates for a second before getting involved.

Between them James and Kurtly manage to separate the two men.

"Quade! Quade, calm down!" Kurtly is instructing and Quade who has a split lip that is bleeding , is snarling.

"Let me go. I am calm. I just need to kill this piece if shit over here"

---

"What were you thinking?" Kurtly asks him after it's just the three of them in the room. James had come clean about everything. He barely hears Kurtly's question because his focus is all on Quade. Quade, who hasn't looked at him since the fight ended, whose tense shoulders makes James want to hit something or cry.

"I'm sorry…" he says, his voice almost a whisper, eyes fixed on Quade's back.

"It wasn't your fault" Kurtly tells him. James looks at him.

"No. Not that"

He knees infront of Quade, who is sitting on the bed.

"Quade, please. Please look at me"

Quade doesn't. He keeps his head down and James can feel his heart slowly turning in to ash. He's always been so attuned to Quade and even the smallest rejection hurt unbearably.

"Quade. Please… I'm sorry" he hadn't realised that he'd been so close to tears until he feels them wet on his face, distorting his voice.

Quade looks up and it hits James that he's not the only one hurting.

"Why?"

There had been so many reasons. So many things he'd told himself to justify what he'd done. But looking up in to Quade's green eyes, nothing felt adequate now.

"You weren't there" he says softly, eyes on the carpet. It is the truth in the end. Quade had left and James hadn't known what to do.

Quade flinches as if James had hit him.

"I know that's no excuse. I know that. I just wanted- I wanted to- he wanted me and it- it felt good to be wanted like that but Quade, it didn't mean anything. Not like…" he pauses, trying to get his breath back, trying to stop stumbling over his words.

"Like what?" Quade asks softly, eyes fixed on him now.

James leans closer, fingers tracing over the cut on Quade's lower lip.

"You"

The End.
