Beginnings and Ends Part 4
“Do this for me, Brett...” Cooper took a step forward.
"Anything” Brett felt the urge to reach out and hold Cooper in his arms.
He closed the gap between them.
Cooper rushed forward and took Brett’s lips with his own.
Brett felt the urgency in his touch. Brett let him kiss him and he returned the kiss with the same fire. Cooper's fingers clutched Brett's shirt. Brett opened his eyes to find Coopers’ eyes shut.
He was forcing them shut.
Breaking the kiss Brett leaned back.
“You sure?” Brett asked.
“How can you even ask me that?” Cooper said taking a step back.
“What? Coop...I don't want you to be like this...” Brett took a step forward.
“Like what?” Cooper asked his voice rising a little.
“I’m sorry...Cooper...I am so sorry” Brett whispered.
“Why are you apologizing?” Cooper asked.
“Brett...I only need one thing” Cooper said. “It’s you” he added.
"Don't make me beg" Cooper said, his voice down to a whisper.
Brett's heart dropped. "Coop...You don't have to" Brett took Cooper's face in his hands. "I’m so sorry"
Brett's eyes began to tear up. This wasn't their last day together but it would come. Brett placed his arm around Cooper's head, his fingers slowly running through Cooper's short dark waves.
Cooper's eyes were on his, unblinking, Brett wondered whether he was with him.
"Coop..." Brett mouthed, his lips lingering on the others cheek.
Cooper blinked and his eyes refocused on Brett. A small smile appeared across his lips.
Cooper placed his thumbs at the corners of Brett's eyes. "You have tears in your eyes"
"I know" Brett smiled.
"I don't want you to cry" Cooper whispered.
"Never cried in my life" Brett spoke kissing Cooper lightly on the lips.
"I doubt that" Cooper smiled as he followed Brett to the couch.
There he cuddled up next to Brett. Brett held Cooper until he fell asleep in his arms. He wasn't sure whether he imagined it or not but as Cooper's eyes closed, the words 'I love you' were whispered in his ear.
Despite the terrible day, Cooper fell asleep happy because Brett was there next to him by his side
---
Cooper wasn't sure how he had fallen asleep but waking up in the middle of the night didn't do him any good. Everything came rushing back in, thoughts drowning his mind.
He was under a blanket. Brett was asleep next to him. No matter what he tried to think about his mind always ended at one place. He couldn't get his heart to stop hurting. He calmly removed his naked figure off the bed. He leaned against the window as his eyes adjusted to the dark.
It hurt. God it hurt. At night it got to him. All dark things came to him at night.
Cooper turned around. His eyes landed on Brett's sleeping form.
Not knowing hurt. But knowing hurt even more. No matter what people say. He watched as Brett's fingers ran across the empty space he had been on. Brett stirred alittle when he realised he wasn't there.
Turning his head, he slowly sat up.
"Cooper?" Brett's voice sounded alarmed.
Cooper couldn't help but smile despite his pain. Tell him. He told himself. Tell him how you feel.
“Brett” Cooper spoke.
Brett's eyes landed on him. “Thought you were asleep”
Brett got up and walked over to Cooper.
“Did I ever tell you how beautiful you are?” Cooper spoke embracing Brett.
Brett smiled, his lips on Cooper’s neck.
“Now you have”
“I don't want you to leave me” Cooper said. “I can't ask that of you. But I want you to know that I want you here, by my side”
Cooper had so many things he wanted to say to Brett.
“I know” Brett stroked Cooper's neck with his fingers. “I know. Coop, I know everything seems like it's going against you, going against us. But things will be okay in the end”
Cooper leaned back a little. “Will you be there at the end? Fuck! I'm sorry” Cooper looked away.
“Hey Coops? Coop?” Brett turned Coopers face towards his. “Do you remember the first day? The first time we were together?” Brett spoke, he wasn't sure how he was managing to hold it together right then.
Trying to focus on Brett’s eyes, Cooper nodded.
“Do you remember what you said that night?”
Cooper never thought Brett had heard those words. He was sure Brett had fallen asleep.
“You asked me whether I love you”
Brett smiled seeing the surprised expression on Cooper's face.
“I love you” Brett whispered.
Coopers’ eyes stopped on Brett's. He pulled Brett onto him and rested his head on Brett's shoulder.
“I love you” Cooper whispered against Brett’s skin.
I always will.

Beginnings and Ends Part 3
Across the room, his eyes landed on Cameron. His head was down, his face hidden and
Cooper knew he would be crushed, more so than anyone else in that room. He couldn't believe his ears. This couldn’t be happening. He couldn't bare to look at Brett. All hope vanished in milliseconds. His heart was dropping hundred miles per hour and he wasn't sure if it would land. The End seemed so near right then and there. The Death of Melbourne Storm. He felt eyes on him but he couldn't bare to look back at his team mates. As soon as the meeting was over Cooper left the room. He left the ground. He needed to breathe and he couldn't do it here. He couldn't face Brett. Not now, not when everything went against them staying together. He wasn’t sure where he was going but he drove on ignoring the ringing of his phone.
Brett saw Cooper's car disappear out of the ground car park. He desperately needed to talk to him. But Cooper wouldn't pick up.
--
“Cam...” Brett caught up with his captain just as he was about to leave the training grounds.
Cam looked at him with sad eyes. 'I’m sorry mate' Brett hugged his captain.
Brett felt Cameron’s hands on his back.
“Not your fault mate” when he leaned back, Cameron saw the concern in Brett's eyes.
“Where’s Cooper?” Cam asked.
“I don't know” Brett said. “He won't pick up” he added looking away.
Cameron looked at Brett. He knew what all this meant. Now there was no room for Brett at all. He felt for his five-eight. He had come to learn what a fantastic bloke Brett is. Cameron had his family. Brett had none. No one except for his mates and Cooper.
“I’ll give him a ring” Cameron said moving to the gates.
Brett gave a weak smile “Thanks mate”
“Make sure you give me a call if he doesn't turn up” Cam said. He didn't want any of his boys to be by themselves that night. There was too much shit going through everyone’s heads.
“Yeah. Ok” with that he watched Cameron disappear into the crowd of reporters.
God. He'd have to meet them as well. He went to collect his training gear so that he could go looking for Cooper soon as possible.
He checked Cooper's apartment and even called his mum to see if he was there. Nothing. Brett made his way back to his own apartment in the early hours of the night.
He sat there on his couch, not even bothering to turn the lights on. He had never felt this crap in his life. He was worried for Cooper. He spent his whole career at the storm. He achieved so much. To have that taken away and questioned... Brett didn't want to think about it. He forced his eyes shut.
“Cooper...” he whispered under his breath. He wanted everything to go back to what it was hours earlier. 'I don't know what to do' he sighed, resting his head on the arm of the couch...
... The knock on the door startled Brett out of sleep. It took him an extra second in the dark to remember where he was. He got up and turned the light on.
He opened the door to find Cooper's eyes fixed on him.
“Brett?” Cooper spoke, his voice barely audible.
“I ...” Brett hadn't prepared for this.
“You alone?” Cooper asked his eyes not leaving Brett's. Brett could tell Cooper was very close to tears.
“Yeah...yeah...Coo—” Brett's words were cut off.
“Can I......come in?” Cooper's voice choked hinting pain that he didn't show.
Brett let him in without a word.

Beginnings and Ends Part 2
It was 29°C this afternoon and now it's pouring outside. I love Melbourne weather :)
2010
“This cap is not going to hide my face, Brett” Cooper spoke under his breath as he followed Brett out of the hotel.
Brett turned around and glanced at Cooper. “Na... No ones gonna recognise you Coop” Brett gave him a quick smile before placing his hoodie over his head.
“Come on, don't wanna miss the bus now do we?” Brett patted Cooper on the back as they both crossed the road to reach the bus stop.
It was dark. But the street lights drowned out most of the darkness. To Coopers delight they were the only ones at the bus stop.
“No one goes out this late on a Wednesday night” Brett tucked his hands in his pockets.
“Yeah I can see that” Cooper said trying his best not to look suspicious.
Brett's eyes landed on him. Brett closed the gap between them.
“Relax Coop” Brett whispered. “We won't get caught”
“I'm cold. I'm not nervous” Cooper said. “Brett?” He added.
“Yeah?”
“Is that our bus?” Cooper adjusted his cap.
Brett turned to check.
“Yeah. Yeah that’s our bus” Brett said moving closer to the bus stop.
When the bus stopped Brett let Cooper in first.
“I'll get the tickets” Brett said letting Cooper move along.
Cooper made his way through the bus. He did his best to not make eye contact with the few passengers on the bus. Moving his way down to the very back of the bus he took a seat next to the window. He watched Brett making his way towards him. His eyes glued to his, smiling. Quickly returning his smile Cooper looked away.
Brett sat down on the seat ahead of Cooper and leaned his back against the window, facing his team mate. Cooper's eyes followed the bright Sydney streets. They were different from Melbourne’s. It lacked something. He wasn't quite sure. But this was Brett’s home and he wasn't about to bag it.
With more distance people got off and no one got on.
“You sure you don't want to go to the movies?” Brett asked.
Coopers eyes landed on him.
“Yeah” Cooper wanted to talk to Brett. He wanted this time to hear Brett's voice, not some actors.
Brett’s fingers wrapped around the hold between the two seats. Placing his hand close to Brett’s, Cooper touched Brett’s fingers with his own.
Brett’s smiling eyes stilled on him as he tightened his fingers around his. His thumb rubbed circles across Cooper’s palm. Cooper watched Brett's fingers as his lips slowly curved into a smile.
The intertwined fingers only unraveled when Brett saw their stop ahead.
“Are we getting off?” Cooper asked.
“Yeah. Come on” Brett moved down.
He let Cooper get off first. Let him see the sight before them. They stood before the ocean. When the bus left Brett took hold of Coopers hand and ran.
“Come on!” He shouted over the howling wind.
Brett’s hood fell back revealing his blond hair under the street lights.
Cooper smiled. He was beautiful. The ocean was beautiful. The light of the moon made everything magical. He felt like a kid again. Cooper ran alongside Brett, tightening his grip around Brett’s. Never did he want to let go off those fingers.

Beginnings and Ends Part 1
Story of Brett Finch and Cooper Cronk. Purely fiction.
2010
Cooper swam to the other end of the small pool and leaned against the railing. He watched the blue sky outside as it slowly changed to colors of orange and pink.
It was a matter of time before he would be found in the pool naked, in a room that did not belong to him. He knew it was about time he let go of the past. And he felt thousand times better in doing so. He was going to enjoy it this time, however short it might be. He was going to make sure he didn't deceive his feelings.
He heard the door open and close with a thud. He stilled in the spot, resting his against the wall hiding from the intruder. If he was to look up he would see his clothes scattered on the deck, which lead to the pool. If Cooper was to bob up he would be seen. It wasn't that he was hiding. He wanted to be found. It was why he was here in the first place.
The steps got louder. He was coming up.
Cooper turned his head and waited. Waited to be found. A blonde stood glancing at him, eyes unreadable. He looked dashing in his silver suit. Cooper was speechless for the second time in his life.
Cooper released his breath when Brett finally spoke.
“You look like you need company”
“Just you” Cooper said, watching, waiting.
Brett smiled. He removed his clothes one by one all the while keeping his eyes on Cooper. In his boxers he stepped into the water. Brett stood before Cooper waiting, watching. Cooper moved forward towards Brett.
“They were looking for you downstairs” Brett spoke, amazed at how beautiful Cooper looked.
“I want to be here” Cooper swam around Brett. “With you”
Brett turned with him. Those words meant a hell of a lot to him.
Brett smiled at the man who sent tingles down his back. Cooper returned his smile moving closer.
Fingers grasping fingers, skin on skin their first kiss was everything and more.
Cooper threw his arms around Brett as he released Brett’s lips.
Brett ran his fingers along Coopers back.
“Relax” Brett whispered in Coopers ear.
Cooper closed his eyes and rested his head on Brett's shoulder.
The water was above both their heads and they could only hear the thudding of water against their ears.
Cooper opened his eyes and leaned back. Brett was there holding on to him smiling. Cooper touched Brett's face with his left hand and Brett’s chest with his right. Running out of air, Brett took the hand that touched his face and pulled Cooper closer to him. Brett was about to resurge when Coopers lips closed on his. Brett forgot about everything. Cooper made him forget. Cooper made him smile. Cooper made him want to fight for his future. But right now, Cooper made him fall in love. When the air ran out both resurfaced, both gasping for the air they desperately needed. Brett cornered Cooper against the wall. Cooper wrapped his legs around Brett and leaned his head against the wall.
“I’m sorry” Cooper whispered wrapping his fingers around Brett's neck.
“What for?” Brett asked surprised by Cooper's words.
Cooper smiled. “For not doing this sooner”
Brett pressed his body against Coopers, kissing Coopers neck.
“Brett?” Cooper mouthed tightening his hold around Brett's back. “This feels so good”
Brett smiled covering Cooper with kisses. When he stopped he looked into Cooper's eyes.
“I never thought you'd want me this way” Brett whispered.
Cooper waited a second before taking to Brett's lips. I do. I do Brett. “I want you”
The sun disappeared around the high rise building unnoticed. Cooper looked down and found Brett's head resting on his chest. He was asleep. He had fallen asleep. His body rising and falling with his own. The soft golden colour of Brett's hair was returning. Cooper brushed his fingers through the soft strands. He remembered the first time he had kissed him. Grand final day. It wasn't a kiss on the lips but he had kissed him. He kissed him jokingly, but willingly. Now he kissed him eagerly, passionately, like it was his last. There was no way he wouldn't fight for Brett's. He would fight. There's got to be a way. He would find a way. Cooper stroked the back of Brett's neck feeling the smooth skin. Brett’s fingers brushed across Coopers left arm and rested on his shoulder. Cooper smiled.
He felt the aftermath of the game taking its toll on his body. Sleep. He breathed in one with Brett. Cooper smiled, letting sleep take over him hoping to meet Brett in his dreams.

Coop, Cam and Finchy
End of 2009
Cooper staggered against his front door. He turned the handle but it wouldn't open. He tried again but the result was the same.
“I ...I can't get this.. open” He mumbled turning around to face his team mates.
“Aren't you glad we drove him home?” Cameron laughed catching up to Cooper.
Cameron took the keys out of his pocket and opened the door.
Cooper smiled seeing the door open.
“ohhhh keeyys” He cried, still smiling.
“Cam? Cammy...ronn” Cooper started towards his captain.
“Cooper come on. Let’s go inside” Brett came over and turned the house lights on.
“Do as he says Coop” Cameron smiled at his half back.
Cooper’s smile faded. “Cam... do you miss DJ? Cos ...I miss DJ” He said watching Cameron.
Cameron's smile faded for a second as he remembered Dallas. But seeing Cooper like this returned his smile.
Cameron looked past Cooper at Brett. His eyes were focused on the floor.
“Brett” Brett looked up at Cameron.
“Take him inside. I have to get home”
“No. No Cam Stay” Cooper clutched at Cameron's shirt. “Don’t go”
“Coop” Cameron ran his hands across Cooper's back
“Get some sleep. Rest up”
“I miss him Cameron” Cooper whispered. “It hurt so much sometimes”
Cooper rested his head on Cameron’s shoulder. Cameron could see Brett inside, his eyes on them. Cameron smiled.
“I miss him too Coop. I miss him too” Cam gave a long sigh. “He's over there now and you are here. He's happy and you should be too” Cameron repeated the words he told himself everyday when he woke up.
After a minute Brett disappeared out of sight. Cameron backed up a little and pressed a kiss on to Cooper’s forehead.
“You have me. You have Brett” He said nudging Cooper’s face up to look at him.
His heart melted at the site of tears swelling up in Cooper's eyes.
“Oh Cooper. No. Don't” He ran his finger's over Cooper's growing hair.
He wiped the tears away.
“Dallas would not want you to be sad Cooper” Cameron was doing his very best to hold back his own tears. “You know that” Cameron placed another kiss on Cooper’s forehead.
“As your captain, I order you to go inside and rest.....and as your friend I order you to be happy”
Cooper's mouth curved into a small smile.
“There. That's better” Cameron smiled and walked Cooper inside.
Brett was sitting on the couch and looked up as they entered the living room. But Cameron didn't say anything other than look after him.
Brett watched on as Cameron left the room leaving him with the slightly drunk Cooper Cronk.
A minute after he received a text from Cam explaining what had happened and to stay the night.
He also texted ‘Cooper doesn’t like it when people talk about him’
Brett placed the phone inside his jeans pocket and looked up at Cooper who sat slouched on the seater in front of him.
“Who is it?” Cooper asked.
“A friend” Brett smiled.
Cooper stood up and made his way to Brett and sat down next to him.
Brett turned to face Cooper.
“I’m not drunk” Cooper said. “I don't drink...so much... usually” Cooper smiled showing off his perfectly fine teeth.
“It's been a very....very… long year” He added.
“Man, what you are doing here Brett?” Cooper asked still smiling.
“Nothing” Brett said, seeing how adorable Cooper was when he was drunk. He smiled more, Brett realised.
“Go home Brett” Cooper got up or he tried to but fell back down again.
“Brett can you go put some music on?” Cooper asked staring at Brett's blonde hair.
Brett stared at Cooper for an extra second before getting up to turn the stereo on. It was a party mix with heavy beats. He was going to change it to something mellower when Cooper cried not to. He watched on as Cooper got to his feet. He began moving his body to the beat. For a half drunk, Brett thought he was outstanding. Cooper was turning him on. Cooper’s face was unreadable but his body moved to each beat perfectly. Brett gulped down hard when Cooper began to make his way towards him.
“Join me” He whispered in Brett's ear.
Something inside him which wanted Cooper told him to join him so he did. The moment was perfect. Cooper got close to him. So close that Cooper's hands teased his body.
Cooper turned and pressed his body on to Brett's. His feet were not moving but his body was. Brett placed his hands on Cooper's hips cautiously.
Coopers hands grasped his hands and he leaned his head against his Shoulder. Coopers fingers slowly kneaded through Brett’s.
Cooper felt Brett’s body against his back. He unhinged his fingers from Brett’s. He took his shirt off and wrapped his arms around Brett's neck.
Brett nervously placed his hands around Cooper’s waist. His fingers wanted to do much more than just hold.
“Don't be so cautious, Finch” Cooper said his lips so close to Brett’s.
“I won’t break” Cooper added his hands slowly creeping under Brett's jeans.
“Yeah?” Brett gave a nervous smile. “Didn't think you would”
Cooper looked into Brett’s eyes. Cameron was right. He has Brett. He would rather love and lost then not love at all. His heart was already half broken and right now he wanted to give Brett a chance. Perhaps it would heal his heart.
“I need another drink” Cooper backed up letting go of Brett.
“What?” Brett was taken aback by the sudden change in Cooper.
Cooper made his way towards the fridge.
“Cooper I don't think you should drink right now” Brett followed him into the kitchen.
Cooper took out a bottle of champagne and undid the cork.
“Want some?” Cooper asked taking a gulp straight from the bottle.
Brett had never seen Cooper like this. He was drinking like shit. It was highly unlike Cooper. He had never let go like this. He wondered whether it was the departure of Dallas. But he never knew they had anything between them.
“No. Cooper. Put the bottle down” Brett didn't want to see Cooper hurt but right now he looked like he was going to drink himself to death.
Cooper looked at him, his eyes intense. Almost sad. “I’m sorry” He took another gulp, alcohol escaping his mouth and spilling onto his naked skin.
Brett came over and placed a hand on Coopers shoulder “If you are sorry, stop drinking”
“I... I can't” Cooper said
“What are you trying to forget so hard?” Brett asked, a touch of anger in his tone.
Cooper tried to turn away from Brett but he held him there.
“Give me the bottle” Brett ordered.
“Fuck off Brett. This is my house” Cooper said. Brett took hold of the bottle and yanked it away from Cooper.
He began emptying the contents into the kitchen sink.
“Finch! Fuck!” He cried trying to get it back but Brett was stronger than him and far less drunk.
Brett moved away from Cooper and tossed the empty bottle into the trash bin.
Cooper stared at Brett for a while before heading back out.
“Fuck you” Brett heard Cooper cry out.
“Just go to sleep Cooper” Brett said to him as he slowly left the kitchen to find Cooper.
To his surprise Cooper was making his way up the stairs. Brett followed.
He was at Cooper’s bedroom door. He watched as Cooper yanked his jeans off. Before he knew it Cooper stood naked before his eyes. Cooper glanced at Brett then turned around and climbed onto his bed.
Brett turned the lights off.
“Get under the covers Coop. You don't want to catch a cold do you?”
Cooper ignored him.
Brett wondered how he became Cooper’s baby sitter as he walked up to Cooper's bed. He grabbed the covers and leaned over Cooper's naked body. As he laid the covers, Cooper took his hand with his. Without a word he ran Brett's fingers along his chest. Brett crouched over Cooper as he stepped onto the bed.
“Stay with me” Cooper whispered.
Brett spooned up against Cooper’s body.
Cooper lifted up his head so Brett could place his arm around his neck. Cooper refused to go of Brett's hand. He pressed it against his heart. Brett could feel Cooper’s beating heart against his skin.
“Brett? You don’t have to put up with me” Cooper said.
Brett smiled, his head touching the back of Cooper's head.
“I want to” Brett said.
“I’m sorry”
“shh. It's okay”
“You mean a lot to me” Cooper whispered
“Likewise”
“Sometimes... it’s so hard. Hard to get out how you feel...then it's too late” Cooper said trying not to shake.
Brett didn't know whether to say anything or not.
Brett felt Cooper’s lips at his finger tips.
“I...I” Cooper turned his body all of the sudden to face Brett.
He burrowed his face in Brett’s shoulder.
“I’ll only say this once Finchy...” That was all Brett heard as Cooper fell silent against him.
“I love ya” Brett whispered knowing that Cooper had fallen asleep in his arms.

I really miss Dallas. What are the chances of getting Dallas Johnson back to Melbourne?

So I wrote this :) Dalankar I think you have read this already. Hope you are enjoying the train ride to Venice. Try not be kidnapped by the vampire/weird sea alien creatures...not sure what they were called
James came out of the showers butt naked, water dripping from his skin and hair. Quade who was sitting on his bed with his head phones eyed James as he moved about the room.
James grabbed a towel and began to wipe his hair. Quade smiled when James's eyes landed on him.
"Who are you trying to impress?" Quade pulled his headphones down.
James smiled.
" Not you"
"Really?" Quade tilted his head, his eyes on James.
"Positive" James wrapped the towel around his waist.
"Really? I thought otherwise"
James gave him s cheeky smiled before heading back to the bathroom. Quade placed his headphones back on and watched the bathroom door for couple of seconds before turning his attention back to the league magazine.
James came back fully dressed few mitues later and took a seat on Quades bed.
James lay across on his back, his hair still damp and his eyes stopped on Quade.
"Do you want to be more than friends?" James asked.
Quade looked down at James. He pulled his headphones off.
"What?"
James smiled.
"Do you want to go down to dinner?"
Quade could smell the fresh tropical wash James had just used.
"Yeah" Quade placed the magazine down.
"I'm starvin"
---
Quade styled his hair back as he stared back at his reflection.
"looks good my man" James smiled from the other end of the room.
Quade smiled. Not having noticed James in the room Quade turned around.
"Aren't you going out today?" Quade asked.
"That's the plan" James repled.
"Do you need a ride?"
"Quade?" James was curious.
"What?"
"Nothing" James looked away.
"what?"
"Nothing" James insisted. "It's nothing"

Darius smirked at the site of Mark with the ball. Mark was his to tackle and he was going to take pleasure in doing so. To his amazement he came straight at him. Darius met him with equal force, perhaps a bit more than he intended to. His arms took Mark around the legs and lifted him off the ground. Darius smiled. It wasn't anything he had not done before. Darius took Mark to ground. They fell back on to the grass. Mark held onto the ball like it was his life. Darius tried his best to hide his pleasure as Mark's legs wrapped around his waist. If it wasn't for the 1000's of people watching them right now. Darius would have leaned in and kissed him.

The better team
Melbourne Storm vs Parramatta Eels 2010
“Tell him I'm sorry” Jarryd turned to face his guest.
“Tell Billy I didn't mean to say those words” Jarryd added feeling genuinely bad after that night's game.
“Let it go Jarryd” Brett said. “It wasn't entirely your fault” he added truthfully.
---
Brett turned his alarm before it could go off. He stared at Jarryd's back in the dark. He couldn't sleep. He hadn't slept.
He would miss this.
Brett leaned over and breathed Jarryd in.
“Jarryd” Brett whispered in Jarryd's ear.
He wasn't sure if he was awake. He didn't want to wake him up but he never left without a goodbye, for it would be a while until he would see him again.
“Jarryd Hayne” Brett whispered smiling. Jarryd stirred slightly but failed to turn.
Brett brushed a finger along the back of Jarryd's ear and kissed his neck. He pressed another kiss on Jarryd's neck followed by a kiss on the cheek.
Jarryd turned to his touch.
“What time is it?” Jarryd asked wrapping his arms around Brett.
“Time to leave” Brett whispered against Jarryd's neck.
“I'm going to miss you” Brett said leaning down to kiss Jarryd. “You sexy thing”
Brett added smiling.
Jarryd laughed it off.

Melbourne Storm vs Parramatta Eels 2009 Grand final.
They both knew this was coming. At the end of the game one of them was going to be in tears. The other ecstatic. Brett belonged to the latter as the Storm triumphed over the eels in the grand final.
Brett's eyes continually searched for the Paramatta fullback as he stood with his team mates waiting to be given their premiership rings. He would have sacrificed some of his happiness to see less devastation across Jarryd’s face. To see less tears roll down those familiar cheeks. He was on the podium and turned to find Jarryd's face hidden behind a white towel.
“Sorry Jarryd” Brett whispered under his breath not sure what to feel.
--
Jarryd's eyes were red from all the tears he had shed. He turned away as Brett entered Jarryd's apartment.
Brett kneeled down next to Jarryd who sat on the couch. The TV on but Brett doubted Jarryd was actually watching it.
“Mad at me?” Brett asked afraid to touch him.
Jarryd stayed silent. Brett had long found out that Jarryd was still a kid at heart.
“Hey” Brett said. “Look at me Jarryd”
Jarryd refused.
“I'll say this once because you don't want to hear it right now”
Brett touched Jarryd's arm.
“You will have a great career Jarryd. You will be great”
“Don't” Jarryd turned to face him.
Brett stopped. He held Jarryd's eyes for what felt like an eternity. Jarryd looked so vulnerable right then. Brett never knew there was a side like this for the always independent islander.
“It's not your fault” Jarryd finally spoke and slowly threw his arms around Brett.
He pushed himself off the couch and crouched down next to Brett.
“Well done” Jarryd whispered against Brett's ear. “The better team won today”

NSW origin camp
So you all have to wait a while for the Bachelor fic fanale....hehehehe. So y'all are stuck with moi! Stop your complaining! I'm not that bad.
So, are we all Potterheads?? I've been brewing a potion a day to get my house off the bottom of the leader board....I'm not sure about which stories to post... Soooo I'll post bits of stories of my favourite pairings! GO STORM! Enjoy!
Since Dalankar is away for a while I thought I'd post NSW-related content and have nothing to do with Queenslanders:D Starting off with this one.
Nathan heard the whispers and giggles through the open door and recognised the voice right away. His fullback. Out of curiosity Nathan peeped through the half open door.
A shirtless Brett White lay on his back. Jarryd Hayne sitting next to him. Sitting very close to him. Nathan stilled on the spot as Jarryd rested his palm across Brett's chest.
This was new. Jarryd Hayne and Brett White? Jarryd seemed very familiar with Brett and he wondered how long this has been going on.
As on que Jarryd leaned down and straddled Brett across the hips.
Brett ran his fingers down Jarryd’s back. His fingers stopped firm across the younger man's waist. Nathan could see Brett's face clearly from the door. He was looking up at Jarryd Hayne like he was the only thing in his life. Like he was the most beautiful thing he's seen. Jarryd pulled his shirt off in a single movement and threw it on to the floor. Leaning down Jarryd rested his body on top of Brett’s and wrapped his arms around his fellow NSW origin team mate’s head. Brett smiled and placed a soft kiss on Jarryd's cheek.
Smiling Jarryd whisperd something in Brett's ear and Nathan knew it was his time to go.
Nathan smiled to himself and slowly closed the door leaving Brett and Jarryd to do whatever they were going to do.

Magical Mischief
Saw Lunch with Lenny ep 7. If that doesn't inspire fic, what would??
"Do I have to wear these?" Justin asked, eying the glasses doubtfully.
"You're Harry Potter! Harry wears glasses. So you have to wear glasses" Leigh explains patiently. Justin sighs and puts on the glasses.
"You look good" Nick comments.
"Easy for you to say. You didn't have to change anything" Justin says, examining his scar in the mirror.
Nick grins.
"True. Malfoy's in my blood"
Dal chooses that moment to walk in.
"Shut up!" he says pre-emptively before anyone says anything, "I don't know why I have to play the girl!"
Justin opens his mouth and Nick punches him on the arm.
"At least you're not the red haired side kick!" BJ says, adjusting his robes.
"Man, you are the red haired side kick!" Leigh says, dancing away from BJ's angry kick.
"At least I'm not some dead thing!" BJ retorts.
"Everyone ready?" Lenny asks, lifting his sword off the ground.
Everyone mumbles their assent.
"Come on guys!" Leigh exclaims, "When was the last time we went trick-or-treating? This'll be fun!"
"Right, 'cos we're not late twenty-somethings living in Australia" BJ comments, poking Nick on the side with his wand.
Nick slaps at his hand.
"Careful man, you don't wanna make Malfoy mad! I could sic angry house elves on you!"
BJ stares at him.
"What?"
"He's read the books" Justin says, throwing his arms around BJ and Dal.
"Don't mess up the wig, okay" Dal pleads, clutching at the wig.
"You've read the books?" BJ asks, incredulous, "Aren't there like ten of them?"
"Seven. Seven books and eight films. Come on!" Nick says shaking his head.
Lenny grins at Nick, "Maybe we should start a book club"
"No way!" BJ says, squirming under Justin's arm, "what's with the love?"
"We're meant to be best friends" he ruffles BJ's hair, "live with it!"

Nick reaches out and takes off Justin's glasses and sets it on the table.
"Harry Potter" he says before kissing him.
Justin is grinning when they pull back.
"Fantasy of yours is it?" he asks, nuzzling Nick's skin.
"Harry and Draco" Nick whispers, "what do you think?"
"You and me" Justin runs his hands through Nick's hair, "easy to work out, yeah?"
Nick kisses him again.
"Belong together" Nick whispers with a smile and Justin catches it with his lips.
